My name is Lars Diget, and I’m a dad, husband, engineering director, and maker.

I live in Aarhus, Denmark, and work in Billund, where I spend my days helping product and engineering teams build digital experiences across app and web. I currently oversee multiple teams, but I still think of myself as a maker first and a leader second. I enjoy the craft of building things just as much as I enjoy helping teams do their best work.

Over the years, my work has shifted from being purely hands-on to being more about direction, alignment, and creating the conditions for good engineering. I’m interested in how teams work, how products get shaped, and how ideas move from sketchy beginnings to something real and useful. That includes the messy parts too: planning, trade-offs, communication, and all the practical details that sit between strategy and execution.

Outside of work, I’m still drawn to projects for the joy of making. Sometimes that means small software experiments, sometimes old computers, sometimes writing, and sometimes whatever idea seems too interesting to leave alone.

This blog is where I write about the things that hold my attention: engineering leadership, software and web projects, ways of working, side projects, and the occasional personal perspective when it feels relevant. Some posts are current reflections, others are snapshots of what I was thinking at a particular point in time.
